Inspired by Notting Hill’s artistic roots, this 1,500 sq ft duplex reimagines a Victorian framework with bold, contemporary design. Set in a white-stucco townhouse once home to poster artist John Hassall, the apartment was redesigned by Amanda Hoyle of Sey Studios, using curated artwork as the conceptual thread throughout.
On the ground floor, an open-plan layout pairs restored period features with modern style — think high ceilings, intricate cornicing and layered hues drawn from key artworks. A velvet sofa, custom commissions and Farrow & Ball tones create a warm, art-led atmosphere, while the kitchen blends rustic charm with sleek appliances and a characterful dining nook.
Downstairs, two calming bedrooms feature natural materials and curated finishes. The principal suite opens to a private patio and includes a serene en suite, while the guest bedroom is served by a second bespoke bathroom. A dedicated dressing room and office, wrapped in a soft pink tone, complete this creative and elegant home.
