Very popular with globetrotters last year, this Oriental city blends modernity with the heritage of yesteryear and is just a 4-hour flight from Paris. A must-see, this unsuspected destination has even overtaken iconic places like New York and London in the hearts of travellers in 2023, according to a report published by Euromonitor.

Istanbul has raised Turkey's international profile in this ranking unveiled by Euromonitor last December.

A metropolis with timeless charm and a rich cultural heritage, Istanbul put Turkey on the international map in the rankings unveiled by Euromonitor last December. In 2023, the Turkish capital rose to 1st place on the list of countries with the most international arrivals.

The City of Love is followed by Hong Kong and Bangkok, two Asian cities. New York, Cancun and Mecca round out the top five.
